Trip Introduction

Langtang is a famous trekking zone in Nepal and is situated in a narrow valley that lies just south of Tibetan border. The Langtang valley is aptly called ‘the valley of glaciers' where high mountains soar towards the sky. The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rocky and snow-capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild animals. The sights also include Tamang villages, Buddhist monasteries, a cheese factory, yaks, glaciers and mountain lakes, making this trek an exciting and unforgettable one.Treking in nepal

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Namaste and welcome to the Himalayan country of Nepal. You will be meet at the airport and be transfered to your hotel for check-in. After time to get refreshed, you will be meet in the evening for a welcome dinner in one of the finest Nepalese restaurants which includes a cultural show. Then afterwards you will be briefed about your trip and brought back to the Hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley sight-seeing
Today, after breakfast you will go on a guided sightseeing tour of the highlights of Kathmandu and the surrounding Valley. You will visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple , with its fine views over Kathmandu valley. The temple has many interesting features as well as the great stupa with highest point to the Kathmandu valley.
After this you can join the devotees, pilgrims and wandering saddhus (holy men) at Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath is the most important Hindu temple in Nepal as well as being one of the most important Shiva temples on the subcontinent. It is situated on the banks of the holy Bagmati River where you may have a chance to see a cremation on the River bank.
Take time to walk around Bodhnath (Boudha) stupa, the largest in Nepal and one of the largest in the world. Boudha is also the centre of Tibetan culture in Nepal and a wonderfully vibrant, interesting community.
Explore the temples and courtyards of Patan, also known as the City of Fine Arts . In the evening we'll drive back to Kathmandu where we'll have a group briefing on what to expect when our trek begins tomorrow. The remainder of the evening is free for you to explore the surrounding area or simply relax at the hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Syabru besi (2030 m/6658ft)
Drive for a total of 9 hrs by local bus or private vehicle on a paved highway that twists & climbs over ridges to the Trishuli valley. We stop at Trisuli bazaar for lunch and continue to Betrawoti and finally on a rough twisting road to Dhunche. Here, You will enter the district Headquarters of Dhunche where your Langtang National park permit will be checked. A further 2 hour drive brings us to Syabru besi where we will stay overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Syabru besi to Lama Hotel (2340 m/7675ft)
After breakfast, the trek ascends for about 2 hrs through a forest and along the river bank where you can see Bee hives on a cliff. Continue upward for 1 hr to reach Bamboo village (1850m.) for lunch. After a gradual ascend through Bamboo forest we reach the Lama Hotel and stay overnight. (5hrs. Walk)

Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley (3330 m/10922ft)
Trek through rhododendron & pine forested area for about 3 hrs to reach Ghora Tabela for lunch. After a further 3 hrs trek the trail reaches Langtang village inhabited by Buddist Tamangs & Tibetans. We stay here overnight.

Day 06: Langtang Valley to Kyanjing Gompa (3730 m/12234ft)
The trek continues further with views of the himalayan scenery. The path is easier, crossing many stones for about 3hrs and reaches Kyanjing Gompa where we will have lunch and stop for the night. Here you can relax, explore the surroundings and enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Ganchempo & Langtang Himal.

Day 07: Kyanjing Gompa explore / rest day
This day you will have time to explore the kyanjing valley and surroundings with its cheese factory and monastery. You also have an option to go Kyanjing-Ri or Langshisha Kharka or the northern part of the glacier to enjoy the views. Choose one of these and the guide will take you to the point. This area is also a habitat for Musk deer and Snow leopards.

Day 08: Kyanjin gumpa to Lama Hotel (2340m/7675ft)
Enjoy you breakfast with beautiful mountain views. We then continue on the trek down to the langtang valley and further on to Ghora tabela for lunch. Afterwards, trek down to Lama Hotel for the overnight stay. This is a long day but the walk is easy as it is mostly downhill.

Day 09: Lama Hotel to Syabru Besi
Trek back through same route and over night at Syabru besi.  

Day 10: Syabru Besi to Kathmandu
In the morning drive back to Kathamndu by Local bus or private vehicle. The drive takes 9 hrs to Kathmandu .

Day 11: Leisure at Kathmandu
This is a full day at leisure to rest and relax, to explore the local area and perhaps do a bit of last minute shopping at the heart of Kathmandu valley. You also have the option of doing some sight-seeing including Bhaktapur and Patan. Afterwards, you will have an evening farewell dinner with your crew and overnight at Hotel.

Day 12: Departure from Kathmandu
Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives for you until your departure flight/drive or to commence any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If departing, you’ll be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination.

Note: The itinerary may flexible during the trek depending upon the clients requirements and fitness.
